What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning.

What will ABA look like in your home?

Let's Get Started!

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will come to your home for a two-hour assessment. This assessment will satisfy insurance requirements and give us the foundation to begin putting together customized programs for your child.
Remember programs are always changing and evolve with your child's individual needs. The original program designed for your child likely won’t be the only program we use for them.
Sessions Begin

Where the magic happens!

Once programs are put together your child’s therapist will come to your home and begin therapy sessions.
Upon arrival, your child’s therapist will set up a suitable working space, which takes no more than five minutes.
Then your child’s therapist will begin implementing your child’s customized program and test out other methods while collecting data on each trial.
The final ten minutes of each session will be used by your child’s therapist to complete paperwork and graph data from the session. This ensures all progress is documented so we can bring the best possible therapy to your child.

Continued Progress!

Periodically your BCBA will return to review and modify programs based on the data. Frequency of BCBA visits is dependent on insurance coverage. Your child’s therapy is ongoing and will evolve over time. These check-ins help us to provide the very best therapy to your child so we can unlock their potential together!
