Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) is based on the science of learning and behavior.
Behavior analysis helps us to understand how behavior is affected by the environment and how learning takes place.
ABA Therapy is a flexible treatment that can be adapted to meet the needs of each individual. ABA programs are not “one size fits all”. The goal of an ABA program is to help the individual develop skills that will help them to become more independent and successful in a variety of areas including but not limited to: - Communication and language - Social skills - Self-care and independent living skills - Play and leisure skills - Reduction of challenging behaviors
ABA instruction involves breaking down skills into small, concrete steps and teaching the steps one by one.
ABA therapy can be provided in a number of settings including the home, school, and in the community.
