COVID-19 Precautions & Safety During ABA Sessions
As COVID-19 cases rise, the precautions that we have put in place to help our staff and families remain safe during ABA sessions is just as important as ever.
We recommend that all staff gets vaccinated if they are able to, as this is one of the most effective ways to remain healthy and decrease symptoms of COVID-19 if an exposure occurs.
Additionally, there are a number of precautions that we, as healthcare providers, are taking.
Take your temperature – If you have a fever, do not attend the session
Self-check for symptoms – if you display symptoms of COVID-19 that do not have another known cause, do not attend the session
Be vigilant of where you have been and those around you
If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or if you have begun to display symptoms of COVID-19 yourself, do not have a session.
Wear a mask – Use a new mask often or wash your mask regularly
Wash hands or use hand sanitizer at the beginning of the session and throughout the session
Avoid physical contact with others as much as possible
Clean surfaces and any materials used during sessions with Clorox wipes or something similar (ex: cell phone, Kindle, program materials, reinforcers) at the beginning of the session and throughout the session
Minimize the materials that you bring into the client’s home during sessions
Sanitize work area including any surfaces and materials used
Thank you for continuing to help keep our staff and families safe!
